Now what are they you are asking…….

The Acai berry [pronounced a-sigh-y] is a small, black, round berry. Resembling smaller version of a grape, this fruit has a small amount of pulp surrounding a large seed at its centre. It  is used in a wide variety of health foods and other common consumer products like ice cream, and is the main food use with an acai berry diet.

Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity (ORAC) is a method of measuring antioxidant capacities of different foods.

Foods with higher ORAC values are more effective in fighting the damages of daily living caused by free radicals.Acai Berry’s potent 4:1 extract ratio is the highest quality you will find anywhere. Taken as indicated, Acai Berry will reduce the impact of cell oxidization dramatically over even the smallest time span…..try them,if you can find them!

Put away your botox, drop your thermage session… on, get into your larder and get mixing.

Here are some simple home remedies to deal with wrinkles on skin and prevent the formation of new ones –

Apply egg whites to the skin under your eyes.

Odor-free castor oil can be applied to the skin under the eyes or on that of the throat.

Empty the contents of 3 Vitamin E capsules into a small bowl. Add to this 2 tsps plain yogurt, 1/2 tsp honey and 1/2 tsp lemon juice. Apply this mixture on the face using a cotton ball. Leave it on for 10 minutes and rinse.

A mixture of 1/4 cup comfrey infusion, 1/4 cup witch hazel and 10 drops of patchouli essential oil is effective in treating wrinkles. This can be stored in a clean bottle and applied on affected areas with a cotton ball.

Gently massage coconut oil on portions of skin prone to wrinkles every night a bedtime.

A paste of turmeric made with sugarcane juice is great to get rid of wrinkles and slow skin ageing.

Cut a green Thompson seedless grape in half and gently crush it on your face on the wrinkles. Leave it for 20 minutes and rinse with warm water and let it dry in natural air.

Rub the core of pineapple on the face and leave it for 10-15 minutes before rinsing off. This works well on fine wrinkles.

Applying juice of green pineapples and apples on the face daily for 10-15 minutes is good for fine wrinkles and cracked skin.

Application of pure castor oil regularly prevents wrinkles.

Make up tips for eyes

Eyes can exercise a special power of seduction by casting an enchanting gaze in another’s direction. A wink can signal a special understanding or remind another of an inside joke or amusing memory. Eyes are also the windows of the soul……………

Show them off. Use an eye liner on your top lid to open your eyes- try the new Maybeline which resembles a felt tip pen.

To really define your eyes, apply a thin line of eyeliner in black or brown, khaki, plum or navy. To properly apply the eyeliner pencil or liquid liner, gently pull the corner of your eye outward, forming a straight line along your lashes. Starting at the inside corner and working toward the outside, delicately trace a line with the pencil angled toward your lashes.

Be careful how much eyeliner you apply, as a little really does go a long way. For a dramatic look, thicker and darker is very acceptable. For a subtle definition, stick with a lighter application.

Help Betty! My girlfriend is too popular!

Dear Betty,

MY girlfriend and I agreed ground rules when she went away to university. One was not to be in a room alone with someone of the opposite sex and the other was no kissing either on the cheek or lips.

I’ve since seen photos of her kissing different guys on the cheek and I feel really let down.

I am 21 and my girlfriend is 19. I was pleased for her when she got her place at uni, but sorry at the same time as I knew we’d be a long distance from one another. She said she was sorry for the pictures and that she didn’t even realise what had happened and that the kissing on the cheek was just for the photo. Even so I felt my heart has been ripped out when I saw them. What do you think I should do?
